What's it with my guy...
I really dun understand guys. My guy, at least. Well, we got our pay on Thursday, and I was ecstatic. Have been planning this for the longest time. Da has been saying that he wanted to get the latest Motorola V3i. (which is the first picture). This is the second generation RAZR, and it is indeed better than the first version of the RAZR V3. At least this one has a 1.23 megapxel camera...and it's equally slim as compared to the V3. It is very streamlined, and I have to admit that I wanted it initially, (because the first version of the V3 has this hot pink, which was so bloody hot that I love i..) but the poor features in the phone totally turned me off.
Ok. To cut the long story short. Da said that he wanted this phone (which cost $508 w/o contract, which is how I always buy my phone), but the thing is, there was this even more advanced version of the Razr. It was the V3x. It the latest model in the range (look at the picture below). The features are, needless to say, better than that of the predecessors. It cost $708 w/o contract. I decided that da deserved better, and since I was going to get him a phone, I might as well get him a nicer one.

This one was a 3G phone, packed with lots of features. TO start with, it has a bloody 2 megapixel camera (which in case any of you atill don't know, it means that it is clearer than the 1.23 megapixel camera). It also has an expandable memory, and in this case up to 1G. There was a 512 MB card in it. Which means that lots more songs can be stored in it for listening pleasure. Just these two features inside it makes it more worth the value. However, the one drawback of this phone is that because it was 3G, it is like 5mm thicker than the normal one. And God only knows why they had to make it in such a dull colour.
Granted, the one on top DOES look more appealing, but shouldn't we go for the features rather than simply the aesthetics? I mean, I thought it was only girls who were suckers for things such as colours, and how many cute games there are in the phone?

OK. ANyways, I got him this, and then I was waiting with anticipation for him to meet me at night, so that I can pass him the phone, and waiting to see his face aglow with happiness. However, who was to expect that the first reaction I would get would be "aiyah, why you buy this one?" and after a while, "But it's ok lah (with a face that looks as though it pains him to accept the phone rather than the other useless one. JUST BECAUSE IT LOOKS BETTER).
So I asked him: "SHouldn't you be happy with a better phone?" And his reply was "But I don't have a need for a better phone what. (interpretation: I still like the aesthetically appealing phone better)"
And then I said "But this one costs more!" and his reply was "All the more you shouldn't get it. (Interpretation: You should have just gotten me the other one. I like it better, even though it's cheaper)"
At this point in time, those of you who feel aggrieved for me, nod your heads.
Yup. That was how I felt. No reason at all for him to get angry! Granted, I didn't get him the phone he wanted, but it was with all proper intentions! What the FUCK!
All the way home, he was angry that I was not listening to him. He kept pulling me, and asking me to stop and listen to what he had to say. I just kept walking. Until I finally decided that the only solution to this was to change the freaking phone to the one that he wanted. Went to my friend, and asked him if we could change the phone. My friend told da, "Huh? You want to change the V3x to a V3i ah? I can do for you, but I only have one word for you leh : Xiao!"
And then, grudgingly, da said "never mind lah. This one can.". Whatever. Still grudgingly.
Sigh. I still dun understand man. My man.
But, I still love you!!
