You little bugger...!
Had a damn boring day in school today...you can see from our faces. Bleah. It was all talk about National Education, and how to infuse National Education into our syllabus. In short, things that we have done in our 4 years in NIE...sigh. BORING!!! YAWN!!! (And then, what makes it worse is that at the end of the programme, they got us to fill in a survey, which they said was not to identify us, but then they asked for our date of birth, our course in NIE. How anonymous...=)
Anyway, the day ended at 1 (supposedly), but then it ended at 1:30. sheesh. Cherine and I walked over to NIE canteen for lunch. I had the yummy grilled fish with spaghetti. I know...out of my diet plan. But then the grilled fish was really very yummy...Serious. ANy of you who has a chance to visit NIE for any reason, go to the canteen at Block 4, and then go to the western food stall (beside the fruit stall), and see. Their other stuff are only so-so, but personally I feel that the grilled fish is oh-so-out-of-this-world...hee. And all for only $4.50. Sorry forgot to take photos...was too hungry and started gorging into it the moment it swam to my table..

After lunch, we were feeling very bored, and today it seemed that many people in NIE went to get their hair done. Cherine was tempted, and wanted to perm her hair. Apparently into retail therapy, to help recover from an unpleasant incident. Poor girl... =). I introduced her to the salon where I did my hair, and then she permede her hair because it was quite cheap. $75 for a perm...Took about 2 hours, and I was reading my Da Vinci Code, and giving her suggestions for which perm looks good for her...
One small glitch. Unfortunately, my regular stylist was not there, and then Cher had her hair done by another girl, whom the both of us think suck. Shall remember to complain to the boss the next time I am there.
Anyway, after Cher had her hair done, mummy SMSed me to go to Jurong Point for dinner, thus foiling my plan for jogging... (roll eyes...) Went to Crystal Jade Kitchen for dinner, and I paid for it..a belated mothers' day dinner for beloved mummy... =P (Or an advanced dinner for next year's Mothers' Day. Seriously, these days are so commercialised that it's no longer meaningful...Thats pretty me...

Initiallly, I didn't want to do anything about this photo. I didn't want to comment about it on the blog. However, this happened. I left the bugger on a plate, and then left it there.
the captain walked over to refill the tea, and then saw it there.
Captain: How's everything?
Mummy: ok, except for this. There is a worm in your vegetable.
Captain: Looks at the bugger, and says "orh". And then takes the plate (I guess to remove all traces of evidence).
Sigh. Nothing was done. Exasperated. Therefore, decided t share this experience with all of you. Just be careful if you wanna order this dish.haha...

Sigh... only once a year I get dinner from her...say until so loud some more... =P

Had this dish. Mine was porridge. I ordered century egg and lean meat congee. Nice. Mummy had chicken noodles. The noodles there was also very nice. It's very Q.. (chewy). But she stirred the noodles and messed it up before I could have a chance to take a photo of it... *sigh*...

Had this dish as well. Apparently, it's not on the menu. There are like 150++ dishes on the menu. I saw the couple beside us order this, and then I scanned the menu for this, but didn't see it. It was chinese spinach with three eggs: century egg, salted egg and egg. It looked so appetizing, that I had to ask the couple which dish it was. It was also to save me the trouble of looking through and reading every item on the menu.
It turned out that they were regulars there, and they order this everytime they are there. The lady told me that it was not on the menu, and that we could try it because it was good. Getting her "approval", I instantly got the waiter, and pointed to the dish, and told him that I wanted one serving of it.
(To sidetrack a bit: I don't know about you, but i DETEST those people who would peep over at your table while dining, to see what you were eating; as if that is not enough, they will ask the waiter "what is she having ah?" I HATE IT! IF YOU READ THIS BLOG AND ARE GUILTY OF IT, PLEASE STOP!!!! IT'S PLAIN RUDE AND IRRITATING!)
Ok. To tell you more about this dish. The soup that you see, iit's actually chicken stock, and it's damn yummY!!! VERY VERY YUMMY! Just drinking the gravy alone is enough...hmm..sedap!
The vegetables are very soft...
the eggs are good...
It's relatively healthy..
Rating: 4/5.
Now, you must be wondering, where did the one mark go to??? Look down to find out..

Yes. This is what you think it is. A worm. I was happily digging into the dish, and then I saw this suspicious looking thing in the soup. Took it up, and saw, to my horror, that it was a WORM!! Well, to my consolation, at least it was not HALF a worm..haha...
