City Square, City Square, City Square...

Today, I went to school for TAF club in the morning... Da da was on MC from a very bad sore throat for two days, and he suggested that we brought his brother Vincent to JB for a shopping trip, because he has not been there before... I said OK, and that I would meet them after the TAF Club was over.

To digress a bit...TAF today was quite fun. I took charge of the girls, and we started off by playing Captains' Ball, and then we climbed trees. Haha. Yup, you didn't hear wrongly. We climbed trees. The girls got the safety precautions all done, and they climbed trees. When we got there, the male teacher I/C said that none of the boys could do it, and the boys were jeering at my girls, saying that they would not be able to do it too, since the boys already could not do it. I told the girls to prove them wrong. Initially, none of them wanted to. Subsequently, I saw one small hand raise, and said that she wanted to give it a try. Of course, I did my best to help push her up the tree. In the end, guess what. She did it. She climbed really high, until I told her to stop, because it was getting dangerous... YES! Girls rule! =)

Anyway, back to City Square... By the time I got home after TAF, and bathed, we left my house at around 1:30, and arrived at City Square at around 2:30. By this time, I was already half dead. From hunger and lethargy. I have not had a single thing to eat since the morning. I was famished! We couldn't decide on what to have for lunch.

At first, we decided to have the "home recipe" restuarant food, but decided that it was rather boring. Then, we wanted to have Secret Recipe. Sian. Then, I thought about having Kenny Roger's. Da said that we could always have it in Singapore. Makes sense... And so, we decided to have the Japanese food. Immediately, we went to the Japanese restaurant for lunch. If any of you are interested, it's on the 3rd storey of City Square. You probably won't miss it. It has a HUGE pikachu (the pokemon) as the mascot...

Here's what we ordered...

1. Kyushu Ramen. The stock used for this ramen was boiled with pork, and it tasted very "porky"... hmm.. It's nice...and quite cheap. Only RM12 for this..
2. Wakayama Ramen. This is what da had. The stock is Chicken based, but other than that there's not much difference in the ingredients.

3. Chahan. Vincent had this. It's basically fried rice. Personally, I think there is nothing special about this. It's just ordinary... =P

4. Kimuchi Soup. Vincent had this as well. I didn't like the taste, but apparently according to da it's very nice... I dun like Kimchi to start with...
5. Agadeshi Toufu. Fried toufu, with the Bonito flakes, and the salty liquid ( i think it's soy sauce?) Not bad, except that the toufu could have been softer. But the taste is nice..
6. Wafu Steak. Slurp. Thjs is my favourite. The first time when I tried this, I re-ordered it because it was simply too good! It's beef pieces on a hot plate, with radish (that's the white stuff you see in the middle). The beef bits have been marinated and cooked to perfection. The whole fusion of the taste of the beef together with the radish is just ooomph..

(** Fortunately, vincent didn't like this.. haha...so I got to have more of it... MUHAHAHHA!!! )

Slurp!!! They were all great!!! Of course, it was Vincent's "virgin" trip there, and he enjoyed the food... =)
After that, of course it was off to shopping! The main agenda of the day was to allow Vincent to shop all he wanted...He was given RM200 (not a lot..) to shop, and he ended up buying a sweater, a pair of shoes, and an Ed Hardy cap, which I picked for him, and I personally thought it was an amazing one... really pretty... he he..

*SOB. Of course, I went to JB without my camera, because if you remember, I sent my phone for repairs. All these photos were taken with da's handphone. V3X. The one that he didn't like initially. I will go collect my phone tomorrow. I miss my phone... *SOB*...
