Take the media seriously...

Seriously, what are our kids being exposed to nowadays? Just two days ago, when I brought my young nephew Joshua to Jurong Point for dinner, there was an "Ultraman" show going on the stage on the first floor. Seeing so many kids there, I really stopped in my tracks to wonder, what are our kids learning nowadays? Who can we blame for all the violence in teh world nowadays?

Jo wanted to watch the show, and so Kelvin and I decided to stop and watch the show as well. Just to see how silly it is... Everytime there was a monster, the kids would "summon" Ultraman with the signal (which they all did with clockwork precision), and Ultraman would appear , and fight with the monster.

Seriously, why can't they get Ultraman to talk logic with the monster? I guess it's because it doesn't sell as well. It's the culture that young kids are exposed to nowadays. Name whatever shows that are popular with the kids, and most of them would have violence in them.

Powerpuff Girls, fight to save the world. Although it's with good intentions, it's stll fighting nonetheless..

Power Rangers? Fight

Masked Riders? You guessed it. Fight.

Although they stand for the right moral values, they are sending only one message: Fight to stand for what you believe is right.

Sigh.

By the way, see how ugly the monster is? Yuck.
