NIE Teachers' Investiture 2006 - 11 July 2006 (1)

On Tuesday, 11th July 2006, it marked the end of my journey in NIE. FINALLY. After 4 long and gruelling years...it has all boiled down to this day...

Took lotttssss....of photos. This is part 1. Shall upload the second part when I am free-er. muhahaha...

Looking at my degree...It has my name! It belongs to me! All these 4 years..just for this piece of paper...sigh. SOmetimes you wonder if it was worth the time and effort, not to mention the tears and the pain..and all the panting climbing the countless number of stairs in NIE... hehe

While having lunch in NIE...

Mama and I. WIndy! I wonder why she doesn't smile in the photos..

After lunch at NIE, before walking over to the Nanyang Auditorium for the TIC.

Before going in for the ceremony, with mama and Kelvin.

Professor Leo Tan speaking, before the start of the ceremony. Seeing all the people sitting there, with the funny head gear on, my thoughts drifted to the scene in Harry Potter, where all the professors sat in the Great Hall... hehe

That's the professors sitting...
Well, that's me, getting the script from i don't know who.. haha
All smiles with Ganges and Cherine...

Ganges (Mr. Science) and I... haha

Charles and Julian

Me, with Ganges and Sophia...

This was a first class honours and prize recipient, and mama knew him because he taught in New Town Primary School, where Mama has been working as "the bookshop aunty" for the past 14 years now.. =)

Everyone kept remarking how Kelvin resembles me, and therefore...here it is!!

Dear ol' Soo Wei and I

Dear Mama and Kel.

Three chiobu-s

Irfan and I...

Well, we had the honour of taking a photo with our Minister of Education, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam. He was also graciously standing there, smiling all the way and giving in to requests to take photos with him. A nice person, and quite friendly... =)

Here'e the gang of us, or rather, most of us. From left, Cherine, Hanis, Linnie, Me, Soo Wei, Amy and Liyang (the thorn among the roses)...
