Clementi Primary School P2/4 Hall of Fame... =)
The exams are finally over. The results (not only for the pupils; but for us as well) are also finally out. COmpared to other classes in the level, I guess my class did alright...except for a few, whom I was expecting to have done better... disappointed me quite a lot... =(
Well, sad things aside, I decided to reward the kids who have really put in the effort to work well, and have produced results. It was also in the hope that other pupils would emulate these pupils and be motivated to work like them so that they would also get the prize at the end of the year. Though I realised that it could also have an adverse reaction, in that the other pupils might also think that "I would never get it, so why try so hard?"
Anyway, I got this prize presentation ceremony, where the top 3 of each subject were awarded with a certificate of commendation and also a small present (a book).
Let me now present the P2/4 hall of fame 2007 to you.. =)
Wei Heng. He got the third prize for English. A really, really bright boy, who would ask you the weirdest questions in the world. If only he was less "trumpetty" (loud). He will literally shout in the ear, and I would ask him "does Miss Lee look very old to you? Do I look deaf to you?" and then he would laugh and giggle.. Really quite cute.. =)

The second prize was tied between Michelle and Eileen. Eileen is a really responsible girl. Having done her own corrections for her mathematics paper, she would offer to go around and help other pupils to complete their corrections. She would really sit down, and very patiently explain how to get the answer to her peers. I was really impressed. She even gave up her precious recess time to help me guide her peers along with their corrections. She is really a gem in class. I love her... =

Here's Mavis Ho, the first prize winner in ENglish. SHe is really quite academically inclined..
Samantha Tan. She is not only academically strong, but a model pupil as well. A really good leader and a "da jie", who would be able to nag at peers so that they would hand in their work. =) Lost to Mavis only be 0.5 marks. QUite a waste...
He is the type of pupil every teacher would like to have in their classes. Chun Lin, a China pupil. He is really good. Well behaved, responsible, helpful, quiet, always does his work on time. But then again, if everyone in the class was like him, you would also get a very dead class. haha.. =)
Here's the second prize for English... Michelle.
