Proud Owners of a HDB Flat...

FOr those of you who might already have known, Da and I have gotten a HDB Flat at COmmonwealth. Everyone whom we have told about our flat have said only one thing" Wah, how come you all manage to get it? SO lucky. The place so good"...

And we think so too. Seriously, we had no idea how we got the flat, but we are thanking our lucky stars!! =)

Anyway, on the 16th of July, we went down to HDB to collect the house keys... The whole process took only about 2 hours, shorter than I expected... =)

Here's the house keys in the pouch provided from HDB for us... so many keys, so headache.. I have never been a good keeper of things. I can't even remember where I put things, and my kids have to remind me all the time... haha..
Here's Da, looking proud (and not to mention sleepy...)
Ta-da!
AFter breakfast, we proceeded to "open" the door to have a look at the flat. Here's our little park downstairs...
Here's our block. Tall, isn't it?
Haha. The view from INSIDE the block, from downstairs..
In the lift... WE live in Block 91...

Here's the mixture of the rice grains, salt and tea leaves to be used in the simple "ceremony"
Yup! My very own flat. Who would hve thought... =)
Here's the view from the corridor of my flat.. How's it? It can get kinda dizzy for people who are afraid of heights... Acrophobia, it's called.. haha..
Well, here's the main door to my flat. My unit number #28-306. People who flock to the SIngapore Pools at the sighting of any single number... go ahead... MUMMY, that inculdes you... haha.

Mama and da getting ready to open the door to "bless" the house...

Here's Da, the proud owner of the HDB flat... Getting ready to open the door for the first time.. Can see how happy he is?
Here it is.. the final holding of breath, and we are in! =)
Well, here's the bare skeleton of the flat. What you see here is the livingroom, and on the left would be the dining area. Truth be told, I was kinda disappointed, because it was really freaking small... I mean, I am used to living in a big house and everything... but I guess it was alright... haha..
Here's mama in action. Chinese believe that when you first step into a new house, we have to throw a mixture of rice grains, salt and tea leaves in all the corners of the house to keep the house safe and blessed... Call me kiasu, but I'd rather believe it...

Here's the master bedroom toilet... really very very small, as you can probably see by now..

Ahh, the views from my house. This you see here is actually the view from the living room. *dizzy*..
This is the far view from the living room.

Here we are in the kitchen.
Here's where we have to rely on to dry our clothes when we move in. There is absolutely no space to dry the clothes, and this place outside the house doesn't look extremely airy to be able to get sunlight...
Here's the view from the bedroom...
