24th July 2006 bore testament to 4 years of my hard work, mixed with tears and sweat...It proved that I have not been working so hard for nothing, and that it was all worthwhile... =)
I started off the day by going to work, until about 11.00 in the morning. Daddy came to pick me up, we went for breakfast, before heading off for school (NTU) for the convocation.
That's my dear daddy and mummy, while waiting for entrance into the auditorium... You see me in the background, trying to put on the mortar board. Everyone else were struggling to put on the gown and the hood. For me, it's all thanks to my dear mama who helped me painstakingly sew the hood permanently onto the gown, thereby making my life an easy one... =)
That's Cherine and I, while she was helping Liyang fasten the hood onto his gown... *guys*...tsk tsk.
"Eh, even though you are the star, don't forget us!! We are the stars behind the stars!! "
There's me!! One of the proudest moment in my life..(Although I do hope I will be able to have more chances like this in the future...)
Mama said something which actually quite made sense... she said "the higher you study, (i.e.: the masters or even the PhD), the uglier the hat gets..."...hmm.
There's the people who sits in the back while witnessing you get the cert. They are the ones with the "ugly" headgear. Though I wouldn't mind wearing it.. haha
Here's Prof Su Guaning, the director of NTU. Kelvin nicely summarised his purpose for being there. He said "Throughout the whole ceremony, he only said two things. 'I hereby pronounce the NTU Convocation 2006 open', and 'I hereby pronounce the NTU Convocation 2006 closed'. Haha. ". I think it nicely summarizes what his purpose of being there was. =P
There's my turn!! Click on the "play" button to watch the video...
That's me after the ceremony..

Da and I. Though I wonder why he looks so unhappy...

After the graduation, it was a big mess outside the auditorium. Basically, you took photos with whoever was there that you could see, and who knew you.. haha.

We left the place soon after, becuase it was getting very warm, and also because I was hungry.. It was a loloooooonnnnnnng walk back to where we parked,..
We went to Parkway Parade for dinner...STEAMBOAT!! Yummy!!
On the 15th of July, the teachers, together with all of the P5 students in school, went to the National Stadium to watch the NE SHow (A.k.a. the National Day parade Rehearsal). Woke up bright and early in the morning, went to Clementi to have breakfast with mama and my darling..we had lor mee. Hee hee.. Darling was such a dear. She was sooooo...well behaved that morning!
This was a self portrait taken by her. She insisted on playing with my phone, and wanted to take a picture. "gugu, vivy, smile, photo"...
She was taking her shoes off to sit on the chair..
After that, went to school to mark books, till 1:45, and then took the kids to the National Stadium. We took the MRT train, and everything was quite messy. Howeevr, because the student to teacher ratio was 1:10, it was still quite manageable. That day, I was the In-Charge (on the job training). My HOD was training me up...=( seriously, I don't know if that is good or bad...
Here are some of the pictures taken there... It was quite enjoyable. Although I didn't get the balloting tickets this year, I got to go afterall. hehe
My mentor Cynthia and I
A very helpful teacher, and a good friend. Hisham. Can you tell that he is a father already?? =)
Here is a video of the fireworks which I took. IT's truly amazing, and there's nothing compared to watching it live... =P
Today, we left school early, at around 11am. All the beginning teachers in the W7 cluster (made up of 12 schools) met the superintendent of the cluster, Mr. Jumaat Masdawood for adialogue session. There were a whole 60 of us, and to my delight, I met some of the Jurong friends whome I shared my practicum then... had a nice session of reminiscing... =)
There. The "Jurong ppl". From left, Meiling, Rosalind and Dina are still in Jurong... Me, Irfan (Pandan Primary) and Vic (Clementi Primary School)...
This is Joanna and Winnie, from Clementi Primary School. Joanne is the teacher of my dear nephew Joshua... =) Nice people...
Dina and Ros... still as cheeky as ever. I miss their crappiness... bleah.
The full strength of the CTPS BTs. (Haha. In line with MOE's acronyms... this stands for Clementi Primary School Beginning Teachers)...
