Life is UNFAIR!!!
Why must we, as teachers, lower our integrity and LET PARENTS TELL US WHAT TO DO? WHY!!!???
I remember the times when parents actually LISTENED to teachers, and students did what teachers told them to.
I remember a time when we never questioned the point of doing something. As long as the teacher said it was good for us, it was good for us.
I remember parents RESPECTED teachers.
I remember a time when parents ASKED teachers why something was done, and not INTERROGATE teachers on why "their girl" has to do something "seemingly silly and useless".
I remember my parents never even questioned. If I was punished, it was MY fault.
SINCE WHEN DID PARENTS BECOME "CUSTOMERS" and it must always be "customers first"?
WHEN! GOD HELP ME!!! I can't take much of this anymore!
SO what if they were educated?
So what if they were "professionals"? Does it mean they can talk down to teachers like they are slaves?
There will come a day when I become a parent. There will come a day when my kid goes to school. There will come a day, and I swear that I will not be like SOME parents who would talk down to their kid's teacher.
I might question.
I might ask.
But I also know that I will be courteous.
I just know it.
For the first time in my life, I feel condescended. God! Even my parents don't have the right to ridicule me!
F***.
Thank god for the blog, for an outlet for me to vent my anger. I am going to DIE. REALLY. i wish I could kill someone NOW.
Conclusion: if you want to be in the education service, make it big. It's the worst when you are stuck in the middle. You take shit from up, down, left, right, all over. F***.
