Children's Day 2008 29-9-08

Started the Day bright and early... Three of us were leading the ACES day workout for the year (All Children Exercise Simultaneously).... It was a coincidence that we were dressed in the same colour combination...
After that, the various levels broke out to do their own work for the day. The P2s were supposed to be decorating the toilets.. Each class was given one toilet to be decorated.. ours was on the 5th floor...the girls' toilet... Prior to today, the children have already prepared all the stuff.. Within my class, each group was allocated one cubicle to design, and the whole toilet had the theme of "adventures". They were then to come up with pictures to decorate the whole toilet...
This was the desert theme..

My class photo...

My wonderful girls... This year's kids are really quite bright...
The boys... Cheeky as ever, and you can see tat they are less organized as compared to the girls...

My Lil' Turquoise Box...

Last night, I finally came into possession one of the so called "must have" for girls...at least one in their lifes... or at least I think so... =)

I never understood why people (women) needed to have it...until now.. I guess it's just that fact that because everyone wants one and has one, I felt compelled to have it as well... hee hee... I always thought that I would never be so stupid to pay so much for silver... but...I dunno what came over me.. Perhaps of how shiny it looked...

All my years, I have heard people say that the ultimate romantic proposal would be when the uy takes out a turquoise (their trademark) box, goes on his knees, and proposes...Well, I missed out on that part lah, because I am already married..but....

In order to celebrate our first year anniversary, da brought me to Taka last night..and we went into Tiffany's...and bought a bracelet for me... =) Aww...That was sweet...

The Lil' turquoise bag...
The perfectly tied turquoise box...

YESS.....

I like... It was the experience of stepping in to the store, and choosing one for myself... =) made it all worth while...

Day 6 & 7 - Yang Ming Shan Hot Springs

Before we knew it, we were already in Taiwan for 6 days. Time really flies when you are enjoying yourself...

Anyway, before departing for the hotsprings, we went for breakfast at the Metro terminal (their MRT station)...
We had many things, as usual, but this was something interesting... This is like roti prata...ahah...fancy finding this there...
And then, we made our way up the mountains to Yang Ming Shan. Along the way, the bus journey was way too jerky that it was impossible to sleep, let alone take photos... and so, here it is. We checked into this hotspring called Tian Lai hotsprings. There are many natural hotsprings up on yang ming shan, and this was highlt recommended by a friend. It was beautiful...
Here was our room... one room, shared by 4 of us... It was huge... One thing I got to commend about Taiwan..their hotel rooms have got TV programmes that are enough to keep you in the room and not go anywhere.. It's impressive...
Look.. They even provided L'Occitane products in the room!
After settling down, we quickly changed and went to the hotsprings for one round first, before dinner..... The dinner spread was sumptious as well!

That night, we celebrated Cheryl's birthday in the room. The hotel provided a cake for her...

That whole night, I didn't sleep... Dunno if it's because I was disturbed by da's loud snoring, or what.. Anyway, this photo you see here, it's actually 0530 in the morning.. the sun was already up bright and early.. I called Kelvin using 3G, forgetting that it was only 0530 in the morning... Got a scolding from a very blur him.. haha... but the view wsa spectacular and the air was nothing but fresh...

Da and I went out for some photo taking before Cheryl woke...

In the lift, on our way down to the hot springs, after breakfast... the hotel gave us these japanese bathinig robes... hee hee..

These are the naked ones... da is standing outside the male one, and me the female one. You got to be nude to get in to this room... didn't want to try... bleah =P
They had this kids place also.. The place was freaking cold...

Milk bath...
Apparently good for the skin..
Strong alkali pool. This was really really strong... and not to mention, hot...

This pool was interesting. It has intervals of hot and cold water being produced, so as to enable the body to better absorb the minerals (so they say...)
Sea salt spa pool..
They also had this area where they used infrared to dry you and to keep you warm...
Kid's pool...

The open air area above the room... really breath-taking... these pillars also had jacuzzi-like jets to beat against the body.. you stand in between two pillars, and then your thighs and stomach gets hit by the jets....

Look at the background...

They also had sunbathing seats with jacuzzi... cool!
This was in the main area of the hotspring... this is the couple hotspring. Overlooking the mountains, where couples could get some privacy... There were 3 of such pools..

Yeah, da trying to play the fool...

The rainforest spring...

Haiyah! Watch my powers! Haha..
Fruit spring...
Coffee spring.. The water really smelled like cofffe..! Unfortunately, none of us were brave enough to try the brown water... to see if it really was coffee.. hahha (in case you were about to go eeee.... it was a joke.)
Green Tea spring...
There was this cave thingee also.. quite cute..
"What do you think is inside ah?"

Haha... This is candid shot of the year! Look at Da's silly face...

Aurora pool.. red rose pool.

This was the very first spring at the entrance of the hot spring. Really hot. The body took a while to adapt to the heat. If I'm not wrong, I think it was 40 degrees celsius. Now i know how it feels like to be cooked...
